Glenda Drennen is a native of South Dakota and a former public school music teacher. Her love affair with watercolor began when she married and left teaching over twenty five years ago. She has earned signature membership in both the Iowa Watercolor Society and the Watercolor U.S.A. Watercolor Honor Society, Springfield, Missouri, and is a member of Iowa Artists. She has served on the board for the Iowa Watercolor Society and served as Newsletter Editor for four years.
Ms. Drennen is a sought-after watercolor workshop instructor throughout the region. Many of her award winning paintings hang in private and corporate collections across the United States and abroad. She was the artist of choice to paint a commission commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Pearson Lakes Art Center, Okoboji, IA and the original of Just Waiting is part of the permanent collection.
Ms. Drennen resides in LeMars where she creates paintings in her home-based Watermark Studio. In her spare time she enjoys playing her flute and the piano.
