Every artist who finds success in their medium has gravitated to those subjects that touch them, that move them, that give them pleasure, and from which they continually find new and exciting inspiration.
Natural landscapes and natural scenes are the subjects that I gravitate to, and I have drawn my inspiration from them for as long as I can remember. My desire to become a visual artist has been influenced heavily by my desire to express this love of landscape and nature to others through my artistic gifts.
In the landscape there are endless possibilities and combinations that spark my creative interests, like the meandering and flowing line of a river or path, the sharp contrasts of light and shadow on a sunny day and the abstract patterns that they create, the awesome and constantly changing shapes and colors in a sunset or a stormy sky, and the delicate coloring of a flowering plant.
My goal as an artist is to constantly improve my ability to train my eye, my hand, and creative insight in order to share this inspiration with others through my art, and to share this love and inspiration with those who love art and those who aspire to be artists themselves.
